AFS PTS-aware version of afslog?

The Heimdal version of kinit and afslog don't talk to an AFS ptserver  
to get the real AFS userid when they create afs tokens.  Is there a  
version of either (maybe bundled inside Arla?) that will do the  
ptserver exchange for that little bit of info?

Alternatively is there a version of aklog (or ak5log) that will link  
against Heimdal instead of MIT libraries?

Presuming both answers are no, any (biased?, unbiased?) opinions on  
which route would be easier to go?
