I had a look at that, and found that there's no concept in the code,
for HTTP I think they use SSPI on windows, I think the first thing
thunderbird needs is a generic class for GSSAPI, SASL... (and also but seperate SSL/TLS)
so that the same code will be used for LDAP,HTTP,IMAP,SMTP,POP3...
and that they use the same generic wrapper class on windows and unix.
