linking to krb5 shared libs?

I'm building heimdal (successfully) on Linux 2.6.9-34.ELsmp. Kerberos
RPMs (krb5-libs-1.3.4-27 and krb5-devel-1.3.4-27) are installed, they
came packaged with Linux I believe. When I use the command (ldd), some
binaries in my heimdal build, sbin/kadmin for example, have shared
library dependencies that are files installed from the RPM
(krb5-libs-1.3.4-27). RPM (krb5-libs-1.3.4-27) is described as:

Description :
Kerberos is a network authentication system. The krb5-libs package
contains the shared libraries needed by Kerberos 5. If you are using
Kerberos, you need to install this package.

Is this correct or should heimdal not link to this RPM? Here are the
files that make up the RPM:

# rpm -ql krb5-libs-1.3.4-27
/etc/krb5.conf
/usr/kerberos/share
/usr/kerberos/share/gnats
/usr/kerberos/share/gnats/mit
/usr/lib/libdes425.so.3
/usr/lib/libdes425.so.3.0
/usr/lib/libgssapi_krb5.so.2

/usr/lib/libkrb4.so.2
/usr/lib/libkrb4.so.2.0
