ftp 2GB file size limit bug (Was back in 2002: Bug in FTP/FTPD[PATCH supplied])
Today one of our users got bitten by this bug in ftp:
(He used the 0.7.2 Ubuntu version of Heimdal)
http://www.stacken.kth.se/lists/heimdal-discuss/2002-10/msg00004.html
Since then, the mmap stuff in ftpd.c has been taken out by "#if 0" but
it is still there in ftp.c, as broken as it was in 2002. Is there any
problem with the patch mentioned in the URL above which prevented it
from being applied? The email discussion does not suggest so. Please
fix ASAP as the usual turnaround to get these kind of bugfixes into
all distros is damn long anyway.
Harald.
