Prelude

Before The Trip there were Datasektionens Studieresa 99 aka Studs99.

Every year a group of the final-year students from the School of Computer Science (Swedish information) here at The Royal Institute of Technology organize a trip. Traditionally this trip has been to the USA, visiting companies and universities over there. Normally this trip is 3 weeks and about 30-40 students participate and is organized solely by the students.

This year it is a bit different. 55 students chose to go around the world, starting with Malaysia, Singapore, Japan and then USA. Out of these 55, only a handful (8 people), are going home directly from USA to Sweden, the rest chose to stay a bit longer, exploring the great continent in the west.
